If you’d like to squeeze in as much of Cuba as you can into 10 days, this is the schedule for you. We give you the top things to see and do in over 12 towns in Cuba. Making our way from Holguin to Havana we stop at as many interesting places as we could find. Cuban people were amazing, super-friendly, kind people. They are hard working people that are doing the best they can to provide good lives for their families. The countryside is beautiful. Cuba is rich in architecture, history and art. I highly recommend putting Cuba on your bucket list as a must see! Just be cautious of their government.

ITINERARY:

DAY 1 – LITTLE HAVANA, MIAMI, FL – USA
(spent 1 night in FL)
DAY 2 – HOLGUIN (spent night in Holguin – Hotel Paradisus)
DAY 3 – BIRAN & SANTIAGO
(spend 2 nights in Santiago – Media Hotel)
DAY 4 – SANTIAGO & CAYO GRANMA
DAY 5 & 6 – BAYAMO & CAMAGUEY

1 – To avoid the gas shortages, don’t rent a car, take a taxi, go with a tour or hop on a bus.2 – To avoid food shortages, call in advance to eat at a restaurant. The restaurant will plan to make sure they have food prior to your arrival.3 – To avoid long lines to get on the internet, make sure to stay at a hotel that allows internet or just plan on not going on the internet during your stay.4 – To avoid being stopped at airport security, don’t bring drones, large camera equipment or anything else that looks like you are spying on Cuba.5 – Stay on the move. Just don’t stay too long in one area as to call suspicion to yourself.6 – Be careful of the two currencies on the island. (see our link on extra info on Cuba below)7 – Don’t drink the tap water. It’s like Mexico, you will get sick. Find bottled water that is sealed.8- You are not allowed to take photos of officials or government buildings.9 – Cuba is beautiful and the people are the nicest people you will ever meet. Just know in advance you are in a socialist/ communist country and plan accordingly.10 – Always be kind. If you requested something from a Cuban they will wholeheartedly fulfill your request. However, if they don’t fill your request it is probably because they probably don’t have the means to fulfill your request.
